Money $$$ and those whose self-interests are in accumulating it. There have been numerous attempts by Rare Earth companies to develop mines over the past couple of decades, every attempt (other than Lynas) has been firstly rapidly ramped up then slowly dumped, by those in charge of the Stock Exchanges (Brokers). It is said that JC, threw the money lenders out of the Temple ~ sad to say they are well and truly back.

Stock Exchanges were primarily developed to allow Investors to supply Capital to Miners/Companies. We now see that that function has been totally perverted by the “Middle men” who’s primary concern is to milk as much money as possible out of every transaction.

These people have no scruples whatsoever, they will happily drive a profitable enterprise into the ground using mechanisms such as: Short selling, passing the parcel, liquidity attacks, leveraged lending designed to destroy sentiment and send the origional Investor broke.

Neither do they care who they are dealing with or acting for as Agents. China has had no problem finding willing ‘Allies’ in Brokers, keen to make a small but repeating margin as they slowly kill off a Company’s Share Price; thus, destroying its ability to raise necessary development capital; NB the original reason for the Exchanges existence.
